David hails from the Ms. Delta where he grew up on local blues fare such as John Lee Hooker, Son House and Muddy Waters. Radio stints in Upstate New York, Oklahoma City and eventually The Shoals of Alabama saw him propel to the top of the ratings.
Upon exiting KIX96 in 2008, David ventured into professional wrestling as a manager. In April 2013 he was managing The Great Mahula-Kabula: King of The Giant Pygmies from the Isle of Bonaire. The Great Mahula lost a “wrestler and manager loser leave town match” to The Masked Mauler II at the Sportatorium in the Millianali Mall across from the Cinema Simplex in Purvis Ms.
The loss opened the door for a triumphant return to KIX96. “Every cloud has a silver lining” he says. “It’s the old when one door closes thing. That agony of defeat turns out to be a blessing in disguise. I am very excited about the opportunity to be back with the greatest listeners in all of radio!”
