Johnny was born on June 26th in Syracuse, New York. His father, now retired, owned a successful catering business, and his mother was a homemaker. He has one sister. During his childhood, it was only natural for Johnny to gravitate towards the culinary arts. After high school, he attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. For several years, he work as a chef before making the switch to broadcasting in 2003. Prior to landing in Alabama, Johnny worked radio in Iowa, New York and North Carolina. When not on the air, you can find him helping those less fotunate in his community. In December of 2009, Johnny staged his annual, week long, morning show food drive which brought in more than 9,000 pounds of non-perishable food items.
